Canoeing and Kayaking

At the campsite

We have 3 of our own 2/3 seat canoes.
They are very solid and stable and therefore suitable for all members of the family to try their first outing down the river.

You can find the reservations sheet at reception; you can borrow these canoes for free but there is a charge if you require transport down to the river.

We can take you about 4km upstream from the campsite and the descent takes about one and a half hours.
There aren’t any particularly problematic areas and the current is calm; if you are a keen birdwatcher you may even spot the kingfisher in his smart blue suit.

Off the campsite

Several clubs offer canoe and/or kayak hire to the general public, for river outings of varying distances.
